As an inventory analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Sears Holdings meets our
customers’ expectations with compelling merchandise assortments, in the right place at the right
time. As an inventory analyst you will be planning, managing and maintaining the replenishment
for a specified line of merchandise. As a member of the Inventory Management team
your goal will be to maintain an in-stock standard while achieving planned turnover and revenue
growth. A career in Inventory Management offers an opportunity to help manage one of
the largest and most complex supply chains in the retail industry.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a retail, mathematics, engineering, or business-related major
• Strong academic performance, 3.2 minimum GPA
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Involvement in extracurricular activities
• Dedication to customer service
• Strong analytical skills
• Goal / results orientation
• Permanent Employment Authorization/ U.S. Citizenship
• Retail job experience or internship a plus
Where You’ll Train
Our corporate headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
What You’ll Do First
Throughout your career in inventory management, you will be exposed to continuous training and development opportunities. In addition to in-depth training in our inventory management systems, training will include an orientation at one of our retail stores as well as exposure to our logistics processes at a major distribution center. You will also receive in-depth training on the specific tools required for success in your
first assignment.
What You’ll Do Later
After your training, you will be actively engaged in your new role as a Inventory Analyst and part of a high-performance management team. You
will interact daily with merchandising and store professionals. The Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in helping to identify opportunities to
improve inventory performance and merchandise availability. You will analyze information such as product inventory reports, sales trends,
and vendor production schedules to ensure Sears Holdings provides optimum inventory productivity.
