Position Summary
The analyst will work closely with the business units to ensure financial integrity in the plans, forecasts and analysis. The analyst will also be responsible for performing special projects. These responsibilities and the relationship with the business units facilitate acquisition of general business knowledge of various business designs which comprise Sears Holdings Corporation. With the knowledge gained in this position, the analyst is well positioned for placement within other Sears business units or other corporate finance functions.

Essential Functions
Planning - Provide analytical support to the overall planning process and assist in developing annual and long-term financial plans.
Forecasting - Provide analytical support to the overall forecast process. This includes both top-down and bottoms-up analysis and evaluation of business driver forecasts in order to quantify risks and assess opportunities. Coordinate with multiple business partners when developing forecast (e.g., merchants, marketing, and store operations)
Financial Analysis - Includes the application of any or all of the following analytical techniques to improve decision making: modeling, situation analysis, and problem diagnosis and results/operations analysis. Focus on cash flow modeling including NPV, IRR, and payback periods for investments.
Economic Analysis - Analyze economic indicators and their potential impact on performance of the business.
Internal Controls – Includes support of the company’s internal control structure.
