Career Opportunities
Kmart is seeking candidates to enter our Management Training Internship Program. Individuals should have a genuine interest in retail merchandising and management. Management Interns undergo an intensive hands-on, 12-week training period. They are involved in all areas of store operations in acquainting themselves with the fast paced environment of retail, as well as policies and procedures of the company.  The intern will experience many different aspects of retailing including merchandising, receiving, human resources, customer service, and store financials. Upon successful completion, the intern will have the opportunity to become a Management Trainee. Future promotions are based on individual performance and can lead to positions including Store Team Manager, District Team Manager and other areas in the company.

Desired Qualifications
Kmart is seeking individuals with leadership skills and the ability to assume a greater level of responsibility.  A Junior working their Bachelor’s degree is preferred with an emphasis in Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or Liberal Arts. Previous retail experience is helpful, but not required.  Candidates must be open to relocation.
